Walk down any hemp drink shelf and you'll see two words over and over: seltzer and tonic. They sound interchangeable. They're not.
Both are cans of hemp-derived THC. The difference is what the can is built around: fizzy water, or flavor.
Here's how to tell them apart, and how to pick the one you'll actually enjoy.

What "Seltzer" Means
A THC seltzer takes the hard-seltzer playbook and swaps the alcohol for hemp THC. Sparkling water, a light hint of fruit, and the dose. Clean and simple, and if you already like hard seltzer, familiar.
The trade-off is the same one hard seltzer has: the flavor is meant to stay out of the way.
What "Craft Tonic" Means
A craft tonic starts from the other end. The flavor is the point, and the dose is built into a drink you'd want to finish even without it.
That's what we make. Just Chill comes in two craft tonics, Lemon Ginger and Rainier Cherry, each with 4mg of hemp-derived THC and 4mg of CBD per 12 fl oz can.
The Dose Matters More Than the Format
This is the part most comparisons skip.
"Seltzer" and "tonic" tell you how a drink tastes. They tell you nothing about how strong it is. Both formats are sold across a wide range of THC doses, so the label is the only honest answer.
When you compare cans, read two numbers:
Want the longer version of how a 4mg dose works? See how it works.
When a Seltzer Still Wins
We'll be straight about this:
Craft tonics aren't trying to replace seltzers. They're for the moments when you want the drink itself to be the good part.
Where You Can Get Just Chill
State law in Idaho and Kansas prohibits hemp THC beverages, so we don't sell Just Chill there.
The Bottom Line
A THC seltzer is sparkling water with a dose. A craft tonic is a flavor-first drink with a dose. Neither word tells you how strong it is, so read the label every time.
If you want flavor up front and a measured 4mg THC plus 4mg CBD in every can, that's Just Chill.
FAQ
A THC seltzer is built on sparkling water and kept light, the way a hard seltzer is. A craft tonic is built around flavor first, so it drinks more like a mixer or a soda you would sip slowly. Just Chill makes craft tonics: 4mg of hemp-derived THC and 4mg of CBD in every 12 fl oz can.
Our cans say both: infused craft tonic and THC seltzer. It's sparkling, but it's built flavor-first, more like a craft soda than a plain seltzer. Each 12 fl oz can of Lemon Ginger or Rainier Cherry has 4mg of hemp-derived THC and 4mg of CBD.
Not by format. Strength comes from the THC dose on the label, and both seltzers and tonics are sold across a wide range of doses. Just Chill is dosed at 4mg of hemp-derived THC plus 4mg of CBD per can, whichever flavor you pick.
Start with the dose, then the drink. Check the milligrams of THC per can and whether it also has CBD. If you want something with more flavor than sparkling water, a craft tonic like Just Chill fits: 4mg THC and 4mg CBD per can.
Both cans carry the same 4mg of hemp-derived THC and 4mg of CBD, so pick on flavor. If you can't decide, order one of each.
